A Mississippi community is mourning the loss of a native son - one of the three U.S. servicemen apparently killed in a tragic midair collision near Washington, D.C., on the evening of January 29, 2025.
Among the 67 killed the three soldiers aboard the helicopter identities have not yet been released however, the wife of one of the pilots says that her husband, Andrew Eaves from Mississippi, was killed.

A Facebook post by Andrew Eaves' wife said that he was among the three people on the Blak Hawk helicopter involved in the crash.
