State officials say snake that reportedly bit dogs in MA likely not rare - or venomous
While city officials believed the snake, found along the Ten Mile River near Milk Street, was a venomous copperhead, the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife) said that their State Herpetologist identified it as the nonvenomous northern watersnake in a photo shared by the City of Attleboro.
