The Valencia plant, currently employing 4,800 people, is where Ford assembles its Kuga SUV. The production of other models at this plant has been reduced in recent years.

During this period, Ford has pledged to pay 100% of all wages. The Valencia plant is also working through a separate workforce reduction (ERE), which affects 626 employees.
