Toyota steps in to support Michigan EV battery plant with $1.5B order after GM backs out
In a turn of events, Toyota is stepping in to support LG Energy Solution’s EV battery plant in Michigan. Toyota reportedly placed a $1.5 billion order to boost operations at the facility after GM backed out. GM reached a non-binding agreement with LG in December to sell its stake in their planned EV battery plant in Lansing, Michigan.
