Mohammed Shami's teammate Shreyas Iyer has provided a reassuring update on the veteran pacer's fitness ahead of IND vs NZ Champions Trophy 2025 clash.

IND vs PAK, Champions Trophy 2025: Amid the high intensity match between India and Pakistan underway at Dubai during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Sunday, with Pakistan batting first, India's star pacer Mohammed Shami appeared to be struggling with calf muscle.

As he opened the innings, the 34-year-old Shami bowled 11 deliveries in his first over to Pakistan openers Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam.

Mohammed Shami's over is the longest by an Indian in the Champions Trophy and the second-longest ever in the tournament.

Shami came to the field in the ninth over when Hardik Pandya was bowling to Babar Azam. Pandya dismissed him on his second delivery of the over to get India's first breakthrough
