Russia's overnight attack on Kyiv injured at least seven people and sparked fires in high-rise apartment buildings and throughout the city, Ukrainian officials said early on Sunday.

The assault underscored the deep mistrust between Russia and Ukraine as U.S.-mediated talks about a partial cease-fire began in Saudi Arabia.

Local Ukrainian officials and emergency services say at least three people were killed in Kyiv after Russia launched a mass drone attack targeting the city.
