Athletics pitcher Luis Severino recently opened up about what led to him leaving the New York Mets in free agency last winter.

Severino signed a two-year, $45 million deal with the Athletics with a player option for 2027. He went 11-7 with a 3.91 ERA with the Mets in 2024. Severino said he had hoped to remain with them.
