Malvika first came to attention when she beat Saina Nehwal at the 2022 India Open, but it's been a long struggle to match those expectations.

Malvika Bansod, a B. Tech graduate in computer science from SRM University in Chennai, will next take on Scotland's Kristy Gilmour, a two-time Commonwealth Games medallist.
