Former Texas Democratic Rep. Beto O’Rourke is the preferred candidate among Democratic voters in the state’s 2026 Senate race, according to recent polling — despite having lost three major races within a span of four years.

A judge temporarily barred Powered by People from fundraising for Democrats or financially supporting the quorum break.

In a release from Powered by People, the organization said it donated more than $1 million to the Texas Legislative Black Caucus, the Texas House Democratic Caucus and the Mexican American Legislative Caucus during the special session.
