Ukraine and Russia agreed in principle Wednesday to a limited ceasefire after President Trump spoke with the countries’ leaders this week.

The force would focus on providing Ukraine with air cover to keep its skies safe and a naval presence in the Black Sea to encourage trade.

Trump said he had a “very good telephone call" with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy "to align both Russia and Ukraine" on their "requests and needs.”
