Thanks to the persistence of San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, "National Tight Ends Day" has become a certifiable thing in the NFL. But NBC decided to create a holiday for running backs to try and add some extra sizzle to the 49ers-Falcons matchup.

McCaffrey had a season-high 24 carries for 129 yards, marking his first 100-yard rushing game of the season. It was coincidentally in the game Kittle returned, who excels in blocking. The 49ers' star running back also caught seven passes for 72 yards.

McCaffrey had 186 total yards from scrimmage and scored twice. A young 49ers defense allowed only one TD. There weren’t many big plays from either team but the 49ers never lost control of the game.
