Scott Wedgewood’s whirlwind week leads to memorable first Avalanche win: “He closed the door”
The Avalanche traded Justus Annunen and a 2025 sixth-round pick Saturday to the Nashville Predators in return for Wedgewood. Nashville was in Minnesota, and Wedgewood was scheduled to start the second game of a back-to-back. Instead, he woke up and flew to Denver and joined the Avs in time to watch from the bench.
