The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has restored safe drinking water to about 2,000 residential and commercial customers in Pacific Palisades after last month’s wildfire, according to Mayor Karen Bass’ office.

Nearly two months after a deadly wildfire broke out, 2,000 residents in the Pacific Palisades finally have access to safe drinking water again, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced Tuesday.

LADWP launched a dashboard so Pacific Palisades customers could track its progress on flushing fire-caused contaminants out of the water distribution system.

Lesley Marin reports from the Pacific Palisades, where after weeks of not having safe water to drink or bathe with, notices have been lifted for nearly 2,000 residents.
