Several lanes of the East Freeway from John Ralston to Normandy Road reopened Thursday afternoon following a sinkhole.

In a tweet from the Texas Department of Transportation, all mainlines are blocked due to a sinkhole on the highway.

All outbound lanes of the East Freeway remain closed and are expected to remain closed until at least Friday.

The sinkhole opened on part of I-10 in Houston on Wednesday.
