While it was a miraculous comeback for the Broncos, who are in first place in the AFC West with a 5-2 record, it was an embarrassing moment for the Giants. ESPN personality and New York City native Stephen A. Smith didn't hide his disgust, as he took to social media to slam the Giants.
The Giants went on the road to face arguably the best defense in the NFL without top wide receivers Malik Nabers (ACL) and Darius Slayton (hamstring), as well as center John Michael Schmitz (concussion). And this is an offense that was already lacking playmakers.
It was looking good for the New York Giants in their Week 7 matchup against the Denver Broncos, until it all came crashing down in the fourth quarter. The Giants were leading 19-0 headed into the final 15 minutes of regulation. However, the Broncos would go on to score 33 points en route to a 33-32 victory.
One New York Giants captain insists that despite some frustrations being vented, players are "100 percent bought in" on Shane Bowen's play-calling.
"I just wanted them to hear me," Sean Payton said after he was flagged for running on the field after a questionable DPI penalty on Sunday.
The Giants' defense has not lived up to expectations, and defensive coordinator Shane Bowen could be on the hot seat.
The New Orleans Saints are bound to be one of the biggest sellers at the trade deadline this season and star wide receiver Chris Olave seems bound to be one of
