Alpine Racing’s Jack Doohan wobbled away with the help of stewards after his car plummeted into the wall of turn 1 at Suzuka Circuit in Japan on Friday.

McLaren ended up quickest on the opening day of the Japanese Grand Prix, but practice time was heavily limited due to multiple red flag interruptions across the second one-hour practice.
