Haas rookie Oliver Bearman has halted final practice for Sunday's Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix just four minutes into the session, with the British driver bringing out the red flags after he lost control of his car and buried it in the gravel on turn 11 on the Albert Park circuit.

Home racer Oscar Piastri put McLaren top of the timesheets in the final free practice before Australian Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday while Haas rookie Oliver Bearman spun out to trigger a second red flag in two days.

The Melbourne-born Piastri traded top times with Russell and Red Bull’s reigning world champion Max Verstappen, who was third-fastest. Verstappen was the benchmark for the first 22 minutes of the session.
