After losing all three of their games after the 4 Nations Face-off break and falling down the Eastern Conference ladder, the Pittsburgh Penguins have begun to make some changes to their roster.

According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the Pittsburgh Penguins have placed forward Matthew Nieto on waivers. Should he clear waivers over the next 24 hours, the Penguins can safely reassign him to their AHL affiliate,

The Edmonton Oilers have claimed Travis Dermott off waivers from the Minnesota Wild. This will be Dermott’s second go with the Oilers following a 10-game stint earlier in the season before being placed on waivers.
