Microsoft has delayed its controversial Recall feature for Copilot+ PCs mulitple times by now, and on Thursday it said that it would delay it by several more weeks again, as it needs more time to make it more secure. Microsoft now plans to make its Recall feature available for Windows Insiders by December, reports The Verge.
Microsoft Delays Windows 11 AI 'Recall' Feature to December
Processors can handle Recall if they have neural processing units (NPUs) and can hit 40 TOPS (trillion operations per second). Meteor Lake CPUs have NPUs but don’t qualify for Recall. Since June, many new PCs that support Recall feature Microsoft’s Copilot+ branding. Many of the first CoPilot+ PCs sported Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chips.
