Buffalo Sabres color commentator Rob Ray didn't let a puck to the face keep him from doing his job. During Saturday evening's Buffalo home game against the New York Rangers, Ray took a puck to the face and audibly let out an NSFW reaction as soon as it happened.

It was a typical day at the office for former NHL tough guy-turned-broadcaster Rob Ray -- taking pucks to the face and getting right back to work. That was the scene Saturday afternoon when Ray -- who spent 14 years as an enforcer for the Buffalo Sabres and now does color commentary between the benches during games -- was hit in the face by a deflected puck during the Sabres' afternoon matchup with the visiting New York Rangers.

Rob Ray was taking no chances on Tuesday. The Buffalo Sabres color analyst moved his broadcast spot to the 300s section of KeyBank Center after being hit in the face with a puck during the team’s game against the New York Rangers on Saturday.

If you’re a hockey fan of a certain vintage, you’ve got to love Rob Ray. The former Buffalo Sabres forward turned broadcaster was one of the toughest players to lace ’em up in the 1990s and is now arguably the toughest broadcaster in the sport.
