General Motors is recalling nearly 62,500 Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks because their brake pressure sensor assembly could potentially leak and pose a fire risk.
General Motors had found "the connecting rod and/or crankshaft engine components in these vehicles may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure," the NHTSA said.
General Motors wrote in a memo on June 25 that the brake pressure switch in the impacted vehicles may short and cause a fire.
