Arizona saw a relatively smooth day of voting Tuesday, save for technical issues and long lines in the northeastern corner of the state. Officials statewide were prepared for a busy day at voting sites,

Results timing: First results are expected around 10 p.m. Eastern time. Most voters cast ballots by mail, and counting typically takes days. Officials in Maricopa County said full tabulation could take 10 to 13 days.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Scott Blaney set that deadline in a public records case brought by the Strong Communities Foundation of Arizona, a conservative group. He also ordered Fontes to produce emails and other communications related to another 118,000 voters affected by the same database issue involving proof of citizenship.

Representative Juan Ciscomani, a first-term Republican, is again facing Kirsten Engel, the Democrat he defeated in 2022 by fewer than 6,000 votes. Mr. Ciscomani has centered his campaign around border security and economic issues, while Ms. Engel has emphasized protecting reproductive rights after the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
