A look at how important Slash was as a collaborator to Guns N' Roses, and how there was only ever one rocker that he'd follow without question.

Guns N’ Roses fans recreated an iconic music video scene at one of the band’s shows this summer, and even Axl Rose approved.

“Then with Slash, he is an absolute Michael Schenker fan. He came to the studio in Frankfurt where we were recording, and he was telling Axl that he was on his way to do this with me.

That pretty much sums up Rose’s opinion of everything Slash played him. By 2000, the guitarist was more open about where much of It’s Five O’ Clock Somewhere ’s material had originated from.

He reunited with Axl Rose to headline Coachella in 2016, and the duo have continued to tour ever since. Slash explained why he decided to return during an appearance on The Abe Kanan Show.

But he stayed productive, he said, and is now happy to be back out performing. Slash said he's looking forward to touring for the "4" album in February and loved the tour he did with Guns N' Roses.
