The National Hurricane Center on Sunday continued to warn that the already strengthening Tropical Storm Milton will intensify into a major hurricane before it hits Florida on Wednesday.

Milton is forecast to rapidly intensify in the next couple of days in the Gulf of Mexico and become a major hurricane on Monday, forecasters said.

Tropical Storm Milton formed on Saturday as forecasters expect the storm to quickly strengthen into a hurricane and race toward Florida.
