Little Village community leaders are fed up and want solutions after three separate shootings in less than 24 hours Sunday left two people dead, including a teenager, and three others wounded in the neighborhood on Chicago’s Southwest Side.

One teen was killed and another was wounded after a shooting early Sunday morning in the Little Village neighborhood. The shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of South Avers Avenue.

A man and woman were in the 4000 block of West 26th Street at 4 p.m. Sunday when a dark sedan approached them and someone inside shot at them, police said. The woman is hospitalized in good condition.

The latest shooting happened just before 11 p.m. in the 2300 block of South Washtenaw, where a 22-year-old man was shot while standing outside by an unknown person in a black sedan.
