Mailers from the Center for Voter Information and the Progressive Turnout Project labeled "voting report cards" have raised concerns of intimidation.

Some Maryland residents have expressed concern about getting letters recently that show their neighbors' voting records and their own voting history.

A lawyer representing a voter participation nonprofit said that a cease-and-desist letter from the Maryland Attorney General was “troubling,” defending its mailers showing the recipients’ voting history as a constitutionally protected get-out-the-vote effort.
