When Clemson athletic director Graham Neff came to Dabo Swinney earlier this year with ESPN's idea of moving the annual rivalry game against South Carolina to Black Friday, Swinney shot down the idea on the spot.

Clemson and South Carolina renew their football rivalry Saturday in the 121st meeting between the Tigers and Gamecocks. Clemson's Dabo Swinney previewed the matchup, which will be jus the seventh in the history of the series between two ranked teams.

The Iron Bowl has typically been a bigger game than South Carolina vs. Clemson from a national standpoint. You can certainly make the argument that that’s not the case this year. The Gamecocks and Tigers are both ranked in the top-20 ahead of this year’s Palmetto Bowl.
