A Delta pilot’s calm message to passengers went viral after he assured them their plane wouldn’t move “an inch” unless it was safe to do so.

Delta said in a statement – also two days after The Post sought comment — that it “apologized directly” to the flier and took other actions to fix the situation.

Delta Chief Executive Ed Bastian didn’t mince words in describing how airlines became a bargaining chip during shutdown negotiations.
