Kolkata’s Eden Gardens will host the final of cricket’s Indian Premier League on May 25, after the full schedule for the 2025 season was confirmed. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced yesterday (Sunday) that this year’s tournament will begin on March 22.

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025 opening match at their home ground Eden Gardens on March 22.

Eden Gardens, the home ground of IPL 2024 champions Kolkata Knight Riders, will host both the tournament opener of IPL 2025 on March 22 and the final on May 25. It will also host Qualifier 2 on May 23. This will be the first final in Kolkata in a decade, with Eden Gardens having previously hosted the 2013 and 2015 title matches.
