New Orleans krewes optimistic about parade reschedules due to severe weather
Mardi Gras parades across the Greater New Orleans area were canceled on Sunday due to severe weather. In New Orleans, the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale, Krewe of Carrollton and Krewe of King Arthur, will now parade on Tuesday night.
Inclement weather forecast prompts postponement of Sunday’s Carnival parades
Carnival parades scheduled for Sunday (Feb. 23) have been rescheduled because of expected heavy rain and thunderstorms in the New Orleans metro area. City public safety officials emerged from a meeting Saturday afternoon confirming the following changes in New Orleans: The NOPD also posted a video guide to parade rules and enforcement for the 2025 Carnival season.
