Gorilla Glass producer Corning has proposed several commitments in an attempt to settle an antitrust investigation initiated by the European Union. The bloc launched a probe into Corning on November 6th over concerns the New York-based company used exclusivity contracts to push out rival glass makers from the phone industry,

Corning has offered to loosen its grip on smartphone glass market to address concerns over its alleged anti-competitive behavior.

When it comes to OEMs' demand for Alkali-AS Glass intended for devices used in the European Economic Area (EEA demand'), not to require OEMs to purchase or cause their supply chain to purchase any quantity of Alkali-AS Glass from Corning, and not to offer OEMs any price advantages conditional on such requirements.
