At least six people have died in protest-related violence as supporters seeking Imran Khan’s release from prison broke through barriers meant to lock down Islamabad.

According to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, hundreds of Imran Khan’s followers had been arrested across the country from multiple cities in the protests and skirmishes.

Violence erupted in Islamabad as PTI supporters protested for the release of imprisoned former PM Imran Khan, resulting in four soldier and one protester deaths.
