As the conflict in the Middle East intensifies, Iron Dome and Israel's other air defense systems have been continually challenged from prolonged use and evolving threats.

In a fresh attack at Israel, Iran launched a barrage of rockets from Lebanon which was intercepted by the Israeli defense system over northern Israel as sirens sounded on October 5. However, Iran’s attack was rendered ineffective by Israel's Iron Dome turning missile attacks into ashes.
