An email from the producers of Kalki 2898 AD sent to the distributor has leaked online, asking them to account for the $1.3 million gross the film earned.

Adding to the buzz, Kalki 2 will mark Deepika Padukone’s return to the silver screen after she welcomed her first child earlier this year. Interestingly, Padukone was pregnant while filming Kalki 2898 AD, in which she portrayed a mother.

There have been reports that the sequel of the movie will begin filming next year. When asked about the same, Swapna said, "We still haven't locked the dates but we will soon announce."
