KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Kansas City, Kansas.

Officers were dispatched to Barnett Avenue on a report of a man lying in the road. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting was the 122nd homicide reported in Kansas City this year, according to data collected by The Star.
