The ship calls on Jacksonville multiple times each year, including an extended stay each fall. On Friday, the Kismet returned to downtown, docking in front of the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. But this Kismet is not the Kismet many will remember.

Khan's first Kismet, which like the next two was built by German shipyard Lürssen, was a 197-foot superyacht delivered in 2007. It was replaced by a new 315-foot megayacht Kismet in 2014, which was later rechristened "Whisper" and put up for sale in 2020.
Jags owner Shad Khan will buy current fairgrounds and lease it back for a year
This year's fair, a longtime tradition in its 69th year, is going on as it has for decades at the sports complex. Its 11-day run starts Thursday and runs through Nov. 17. The fair association meanwhile has started foundation construction for the new fairgrounds that will be off Normandy Boulevard in a regional park that already contains the Jacksonville Equestrian Center and the Cecil Aquatics Center.
