Israel continues strikes across Lebanon -- including intense attacks in Beirut -- amid a major multi-national cease-fire push.

The ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon began on Wednesday morning, a day after Israel carried out its most intense wave of airstrikes in Beirut since the start of the conflict, killing at least 42 people across the country.

As it turns out, it’s possible to make peace in the Middle East as well as war: President Biden has announced that both Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a cease-fire, and Israel’s cabinet members have approved the plan. A truce seems tantalizingly close.
