Washington — The House is expected to vote Thursday on a bill to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America," which would codify an executive order signed by President Trump on his second day in office.

Codifying Donald Trump's executive order, Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced a bill to completely rename the Gulf of Mexico. It passed the House Thursday.

If made law, it would change the name of the body of water to the Gulf of America for “any reference in a law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other record.”
