Communities in Michigan are required to hold at least nine days of early voting before each statewide election.

Under election reforms approved by Michigan voters in 2022, state law requires at least nine days of early voting prior to statewide and federal elections, with early voting centers open at least eight hours per day until the Sunday before the election.

Michigan voters have been casting absentee ballots for close to a month. And Saturday marks the start of nine days of early, in-person voting.
