Michigan is having discussions about kicking off the 2026 football season against Western Michigan in Germany.
Michigan is engaged in ongoing discussions to play its first game of the 2026 season against Western Michigan on Aug. 29 in Germany, the university announced. The Wolverines would face the Broncos inside Frankfurt's Deutsche Bank Park,
"We went 8-5 last year, that is not the Michigan standard," Michigan football LB Ernest Hausmann said. "We can't do what we did last year."
