The New York Islanders make a bold coaching change early in the 2025-26 NHL season to address struggles in net and stabilize their goaltending performance.

According to a team announcement, the New York Islanders have placed defenseman Alexander Romanov on injured reserve with an upper-body injury (retroactive to October 16th).
