The fourth round of the NCHSAA state playoffs is here and the cream is rising to the top. Of the 32 teams remaining, 24 are either undefeated or have one loss. That means plenty of marquee matchups. Here’s our take.

Now that the third round of the NCHSAA football playoffs is over, the field has been whittled to 32 teams. Some of the biggest upsets of the third round include No. 19 Kinston, which stunned No. 6 Ayden - Grifton in the 2A East, and No. 10 Lakewood, which won over No. 2 North Duplin.

The West Texas high school football postseason continues as local teams continue to the area round of the bracket, hoping to advance to the regional final after Thanksgiving week and to the state tournament in mid-December.

The New York state football playoffs are down to the final four teams in each class. The NYSPHSAA football semifinals are Friday, Nov. 29 (11/29/2024), and Saturday, Nov. 30 (11/30/2024), in Middletown (East) and Vestal (West).
