Romanians are casting ballots in a critical presidential election redo after last year’s annulled vote plunged the European Union and NATO member country into its worst political crisis in decades.

With over 40% of the vote, George Simion, a supporter of Giorgia Meloni and the MAGA ideology, is well on his way to becoming the next president.
