The fire has prompted evacuation orders, warnings and highway closures in San Luis Obispo County about 100 miles north of Los Angeles.

The fire has consumed more than 70,000 acres and is still growing and moving fast across in San Luis Obispo County, California, CalFire said.

California's Madre Fire sparked in the late evening of July 3 but has since grown to the largest in the state this year by the Fourth.
