Jan 8, 2025 · The owner of the OPEL engine and parts was having the machine/engine shop machine and assemble the engine. Unfortunately the OPEL engine owner past away and the family did not have any interest in completing the project or taking back the parts. The OPEL parts have been sitting on in the shop collecting dust and taking up space for over 3 years.

Nov 30, 2024 · Hello Opel lunatics, I commented in a post here way back in 2022 about the challenges involved with making an Opel GT competitive in vintage racing. Strangely, despite that, I still decided to go ahead and do it anyway! Talk about a glutton for punishment! I bought a non-running 1971 GT in semi-decent condition for $2500.

Aug 8, 2024 · This Opel GT is powered by a 1.9-liter inline-four paired to a four-speed manual transmission with a new clutch. The vehicle was repainted in Opel Racing Silver and reupholstered in black vinyl. The car shows currently 14196 miles on the odometer, of which approximately 200 miles have been added since completion of restoration.
