Aug 4, 2021 · Takistan Plus is the one that the community is going nuts over right now. Takistan was just a port that didn't have working doors or ladders and pulled straight from Arma. A few servers ran it and there were a few videos but now dozens of servers are running Takistan Plus.

I really love Takistan, the best experience I have on Dayz is exploring new maps and learning areas and this is no different. Sniping on this map is awesome. It's insane when you hide in a town during a sandstorm and there's a silence after the storm ends and everything slowly clears out so you can start scoping around.

Aug 10, 2021 · Played Takistan for the first time yesterday and it’s a cool new addition to the maps. I couldn’t help but just thinking the whole time though, I don’t think I’d build a base on this map. Other than the map edges, which is an obvious place to “hide” a base, it seems like everywhere is easily visible.

The textures are great, the variety of weapons and vehicles is impressive, the entire mod is smoother and more polished than the original Takistan, and the Admins are extremely active and cool people. Everyone should give it a try, and I cant wait till it gets on Commander, which we all need to help make happen ...

Jun 21, 2015 · Takistan is the full terrain, Takistan Mountains is just a (mountainous) section of it. There's similarly decimated sections of the Chernarus terrain under different names that came with the Czech DLC as well.

Chernarus and Takistan have an official fictional map which place them next to each other. As to the location of the 'Green Sea', there are a few possible locations, for example:

On the little drop down menu for Takistan, download version 1.1 first, then after that's finished, download 1.2. I was having problems getting DayZ commander to dl it also, this is what worked for me.
