SedgeHammer Herbicide knocks out nutsedge without injury to turfgrass, established ornamentals, shrubs, and/or trees. SedgeHammer provides post-emergence control of both purple and yellow nutsedge. SedgeHammer also controls many broadleaf weeds and suppresses kyllinga. Nutsedge is controlled after emergence in cool and warm season turf grasses such as St. Augustinegrass, Bermudagrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, tall and fine fescue, and perennial ryegrass. Sedgehammer is considered one of the more "gentle to turfgrass" products and pets and people can return to the treated area once the spray dries. Mix 0.9 grams in 1 gallon of water. 1 mixed gallon of solution will cover 1000 sq. ft. One full bottle (1.33 oz.) makes approx. 40 gallons of finished solution. Measuring scoop included. SedgeHammer is very similar to SedgeHammer + , except that it does not contain a surfactant. We highly recommend using a non-ionic surfactant with SedgeHammer to increase its effectiveness on nutsedge.
