Selly Manor is located in Bournville in the Garden Village but its origins date back to 1476. The fantastic house was moved from its original position by George Cadbury who acquired the building in 1907. It has been a museum since 1916 after Cadbury moved it to his new village. He firmly believed that old buildings such as this, had educational values and a link to the bygone times. Despite it's name, it was never a manor house but began life as a farmhouse.
