POV: You're watching an eastern fox snake pretending to be a nope rope. When you're a non-venomous eastern fox snake, sometimes it's beneficial to make predators think you are spicy. Fox snakes are excellent pest control specialists around our homes. Unfortunately, humans often mistake this harmless snake friend for a venomous copperhead due to its head color.
